Tea Party

So I went to my first tea party yesterday. There was a small one here locally, and I felt that I needed to go and give my support. I do not support what our government is doing right now!! We stood on the street and waved signs to the traffic and then we had a small program with a few speakers mostly talking about the problems with universal health care and some possible solutions.

More Swimming

The last video I posted of A swimming made her look more like she was trying to not drown than swim, so here is the newest video of her swimming. It was hot here the last couple of weeks, so we have been swimming almost every day.

Motorcycle Extravaganza

A couple of weeks ago B and I went on a scenic motorcycle trip around Idaho. I am not a fan of motorcycles and B had to really talk me into going with him, but he finally convinced me to go. He promised me that he would drive safely. We were also going with 4 other couples and he assured me that it is much safer driving as a group of motorcycles. His uncle and his buddies planned the trip and his uncle had an extra goldwing that he offered us to use and go along on the trip. B said that doing a motorcycle trip like this was on his bucket list, and that he really wanted to go. He had to bribe me a bit to go along, but I finally decided to go with him. We met up with the group in Bountiful, UT and spent the next 5 days driving about 200 miles a day through Idaho and back around. We actually drove through a little bit of Montana and Wyoming also. The first day I did not like much. B's uncle was late getting into Utah and so we got a late start and had to try to catch up to the group. I did not like driving 80 on the freeway on the back of a motorcycle. Once we got off the freeway and were driving with the group, I started feeling more comfortable. We were suppose to meet the group in Hailey, ID the first night, but because of our late start, we didn't meet up with them until McCall, ID for the second night. After that we drove to Powell Junction, ID which was out in the middle of nowhere. We stayed in a cabin close by the river. We drove along a river for a lot of the trip and through the pine forests. From Powell Junction we went to Challis, ID. On our way to Challis, we drove through Montana for a little while. From Challis, B and I broke from the group and drove to Big Piney, WY to see my parents since we were so close. It was also a very pretty drive through the area by the Snake River by the Hoback Junction. After staying the night in Big Piney, we headed back to Utah to give the motorcycle back to his uncle to drive back to California. The trip ended up being a lot more enjoyable than I thought it would be. While in Utah we also got to see some of our brothers and sisters which was a lot of fun!

Swimming

She's a swimmer

While in Modesto, we spent a lot of time in the hotel pool and A is now swimming on her own. It is just a dog paddle, but she can swim across the pool on her own and is not afraid to jump in and go. It's fun to see her swimming on her own.

3 years old

A is now three years old. I can't believe she's already 3. We were in Modesto, CA on her birthday with B's work, so we celebrated her birthday with dinner and cheesecake at Marie Callender's and then off to Chuckie Cheese for some fun rides.
